KS Environmental has full in-house mechanical and manufacturing workshops including a paint shop. This ensures total reliability in the field and the ability to manufacture products that suit individual needs.
Internal manufacture and maintenance also means our trucks and equipment meet the most stringent standards of safety and performance – our own.
Mechanical
Each vehicle in our fleet receives a full service at least every 100 hours. Drivers are required to complete a check list and lodge daily reports for any maintenance needs. Each collection vehicle also passes through the workshop at least once in every two week period. We have a fully equipped mechanical back-up vehicle to make any repairs in the field if required.
Manufacturing
Our manufacturing workshop has fabricated all of our metal bins in-house since 1992. Our ability to manufacture bins has enabled KS Environmental to make or adapt stock to suit clients’ special needs. We also manufacture compaction units and accessories such as chutes which may be required.
The workshop crew is responsible for all maintenance and repairs. The division includes a paint shop which ensures our equipment is kept at a high standard of presentation.
More recently, the workshops have joined in building several trucks from the chassis up, fabricating the body, fitting the electrics and hydraulics and painting the unit.
