
Paul Smith – Managing Director
Paul has broadened his career experience working overseas, and in various industries, prior to rejoining the family business in 1989. Since this time he has filled many roles within the Company, from Driver to General Manager, and is a past-President of the Victorian Waste Management Association, a position he held for more than four years. Today Paul is the Managing Director of a healthy, expanding, diversified business.
Kevin Homewood – General Manager
Kevin has been the Company's General Manager since 2002 and has had over 25 years experience in business planning, business strategy development and staff development, in a variety of industries.
Peter Foster – Business Manager
Peter has worked in Business Management roles his entire career, which began in 1963 and included some time working in North America. He has been involved in varied industries such as, industrial gases, building products and horticulture, prior to joining KS Environmental, and the waste industry, in 1999. Peter is a qualified accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and his unique analytical capabilities support the business in evaluation, procurement and detailed financial analysis of our business development.
Andrew Weaver – Operations Manager
Andrew joined KS Environmental in 2007 with 16 years of Facility and Operations Management experience behind him. His operations management roles have focused on the cleaning and hospitality sectors and venue operations in cleaning and food service, all these related to the Service Industry. Facility management has included 240 City of Melbourne sites, Crown Casino, Melbourne Park (Rod Laver arena), Caulfield and Sandown racecourses.
Glennice Swallow – Key Client and Project Manager
Glennice came to KS Environmental in December 1990 after gaining experience in sales (IT industry) and logistics (forklift distributor) and quickly became a friendly, and familiar face to our clients. Her ability to easily understand a client’s unique needs within the industry has led to an active role in developing an interface between KS Environmental, Government bodies and the customer, keeping our Company fully abreast of industry and government trends, which in turn benefits the client and the environment.
Ken Bannan – Human Resources/Office Manager
Ken has come to KS Environmental via Carlton & United Breweries, Fosters Brewing Group, John Holland Constructions and Note Printing Australia. Ken began his working life as an Instrument Technician which, in turn, led to his becoming Apprentice Training Manager, Training and Development Manager and finally a Human Resources Manager. It is in this role that Ken joined KS Environmental in February 2006, however, his portfolio has since expanded to include Office Management and OH&S Management.
Debbie Batchelor – Customer Service Manager
Debbie has worked as an Integration Aide, a Store Manager in small business, an assistant to a Human Resources Manager, a Sales person, a Customer Service Officer, an acting Team Leader in customer service and a Mum. All of these roles, in dealing with people and situations, have prepared Debbie admirably for her position at KS Environmental where she joined as the Customer Service Team Leader in July 2006. Her experience, knowledge and application saw Debbie promoted to Customer Service Manager in February 2007.
Kim Wilson – Operational Systems Development Manager
Kim has been with KS Environmental since 2000, working her way through a number of roles within the Company. Kim came from a supervisory position at Australia Post and commenced in our Customer Service department, achieving the role of Manager.
Due to her ability to quickly understand systems, Kim has been promoted to the new role of Operational Systems Development Manager, which was created as a reflection of KS Environmental’s desire to be attuned to today’s technological trends.
Morrie Caddie – General Manager Eastern Liquid Waste
In 2003 KS Environmental and Morrie’s company, Morlee Recycling, formed a joint venture to produce Eastern Liquid Waste Services. Morrie’s vast experience in liquid waste management spans some 20 years and this, added to his experience in the general waste industry, well qualifies Morrie to understand and service the client’s needs. Morrie also manages the KS Environmental sweeping adjunct to the business.
